I knew wanted something a bit more more filling than pretzels and chips for my guests to pick on, and for some reason, I was intrigued by the familiar Hot Pockets Sandwiches. I've purchased this product in the past, but since doing so, there seems to be quite a few more varieties available to the shopper. Two of which drew my immediate attention were Pepperoni Pizza with Garlic Buttery Seasoned Crust and Ham and Cheese with Croissant Crust. My mind was suddenly filled with an array of serving ideas and I decided, this would be my party's "finger food". |
For me, a big part of any party's success is not only great food and good friends, but also, a fun and festive atmosphere. I, as a host, feel responsible to provide that. So for my party, I chose to create little food stations, each with fun graphics surrounding the serving platters. With a little help from my computer and printer, as well as a few small props, it was easily accomplished!
I put several of these platters out and my guests loved them. Continuing my journey through the frozen food aisle, I also sought something that would be a heartier offering to my guests. Something more filling than finger-foods and snacks that could be served during game time... PIZZA! In terms of frozen pizza, my choice has always been DiGiorno, for in my opinion, there are few better. |
I gave the pizza platters the same treatment with graphics and props. Again, my guests marveled at the creative effort!
For this feat, I chose Stouffer's Party Size Lasagna with Meat Sauce and Cheese. I figured I could pop it in the oven during the first half, and it would be piping hot and ready to serve by halftime, which it was. I looked like a superstar!
Amidst the festive atmosphere of balloons and props, I set the lasagna on my counter and served delicious portions for all to enjoy during the halftime show.
As I suspected, the sundaes served in a variety of cocktail and wine glasses while given the same festive backdrop, was a smashing success.
