I love my time spent in the kitchen and I have a handful of chefs who I seem to continually look towards for inspiration. One of my absolute favorites is Tyler Florence and this delicious meal is my take on one of his delectable creations. Pair it with a light, fragrant Pinot Grigio and you'll have the perfect dinner experience!
After last night's storm which left the landscape here in northern New Jersey blanketed in six or seven inches of heavy, dense snow, my morning was filled with yearnings for nothing more than lighting a warm fire and cooking a big bowl of hearty chili. Luckily, I had the necessary ingredients on hand, and along with a delicious peppery Syrah from South Africa, whipped up a batch that was a sure cure for the Winter blues!
I feel the real strength of this recipe is the way it highlights the entire spectrum of flavors in a complimentary manner; the saltiness of the prosciutto, the sweetness of the goat cheese, the peppery arugula and the poignant heat of the cayenne all work together like the harmonic notes of a symphony.
