The NAXON BEANERY was invented by Irving Naxon, who was inspired by a story his Jewish grandmother told about how back in her native Lithuanian shtetl, her mother made a stew called "Cholent" which took several hours to cook in an oven. The Rival Company bought Naxon in 1970 and reintroduced it under the Crock-Pot name in 1971. This invention has stood the test of time and has helped me, and I am sure scores of others, when it comes to cooking and time management.
Tonight's dinner was a simple, clean and filling meal that I am sure your whole family will enjoy. Nothing fancy; just good, hearty, wholesome food. In my mind, that equates to "comfort". And the best part of cooking a whole chicken is there are always leftovers! The possibilities are endless!
