Right now you may be asking yourself, "What's wrong with the foods I eat?" Well, if by chance you are pondering that question, let's take a quick look at the food you may be currently eating.
Over the years food has evolved into prepackaged sustenance that is far more processed than we could ever imagine, resulting in a product containing sugar, salt, carbohydrates and higher fat content. In my opinion, these bi-products of processed food often result in obesity, sickness and more people than ever before being dependent on prescription drugs to help them deal with ailments that are avoidable with the simple subscription to a healthier lifestyle. While our genes and family make up certainly play a significant role in our health, eliminating possible threats are important steps to living a long healthy life.
Most people think clean eating is hard. But once you begin a routine, like anything in life, it becomes second nature and you'll be wondering why it took you so long to realize how easy and delicious clean eating is.
The greatest single benefit I have taken away from this whole experience is ENERGY! Along with elevated energy, I have also experienced weight lose, better sleep, better memory, better digestion, and frankly, I feel and look better.
When I reached my mid 30's it got harder to lose unwanted weight in certain areas. I started to exercise more to compensate, but still never reaching my goal, I decided I needed to change my eating habits. I ate healthy, but I ate the wrong amount of healthy or the wrong kind of what I thought was healthy. And it didn't happen all at once. In fact, it took me years to realize this!
Now, I have become a fitness and nutrition coach and have turned to proper daily nutrition and daily exercise as the two pillars of a healthy lifestyle. It does not mean that they are equal when it comes to managing your weight. I actually learned that the benefit of accomplishing your fitness goals begins in the KITCHEN, for that is where lean, clean eating begins!
